OWA Persuasive writing opinion
I think that the media has a very big effect on the buyer and really changes the buyers opinion on different products. Because of this the buyer is slowly starting to want to buy their product even more, and the buyer doesn't even realize it's happening. This is how company's and business's make money. The media make the buyer slowly start to think their product is cool, good or good quality when it even isn't.
Clothes
One person eventually is persuaded to buy clothes from somewhere because of the media. Because of this, other people who see that person wearing the company's clothes they are persuaded by both the other customer who was persuaded to buy the clothes and the media. This starts a chain reaction, which is a good thing for the company who sells the clothes.
Food
The media portrays some foods as amazing as well. Just last week I saw an ad on tv for chicken wings. I didn't think that ad would effect me at all. But guess what, the next day I had some chicken wings for lunch. Until recently I hadn't noticed that I had been persuaded to eat chicken wings just from a tv ad. This shows that the media can have just as big of an effect on the buyers choice of food as well as clothes.
Music
Almost any time you turn on a tv you see a celebrity. Because of how often you see a celebrity it makes you like them even more. You eventually get to a point where you like them so much that you go out and buy one of their songs or even an entire album of theirs.

weekly blogpost: Phoster
click HERE for the phoster.
I think that this phoster was effective because it explains how much people love their Ipads (like myself!) and how much their Ipad helps them. I also really like this phoster because i can easily relate to it because i do the same thing with my Ipad all of the time. In the phoster it also describes an Ipad as a lifestyle and i agree with that.

A cool google images trick
Step 1: go to google images (http://www.google.ca/imghp?hl=en&tab=wi)
Step 2: search for any image, ex: apple, dog, smiley face, sun, cloud....etc
Step 3: once it's done loading clear the url (where it says http://www.google.ca/...etc) and copy and paste this:
javascript:R=0; x1=.1; y1=.05; x2=.25; y2=.24; x3=1.6; y3=.24; x4=300; y4=200; x5=300; y5=200; DI=document.getElementsByTagName('img'); DIL=DI.length; function A(){for(i=0; i-DIL; i++){DIS=DI[ i ].style; DIS.position='absolute'; DIS.left=(Math.sin(R*x1+i*x2+x3)*x4+x5)+'px'; DIS.top=(Math.cos(R*y1+i*y2+y3)*y4+y5)+'px'}R++}setInterval('A()',5); void(0);

How crossbows work
This article explains how a crossbow works.This article also explains the history of the crossbow and how to fire a crossbow safely.It explains several theories of how the crossbow was invented?
I found this article very informative of how crossbows work. Crossbows are something that i never fully understood how it works but this article helped me understand how they work. It also talks about loading and shooting a crossbow safely, but i am not an owner of a crossbow so that did'nt really matter to me. I think that an new owner of a crossbow would find that very helpful. The article does a very good job of explaining how a crossbow works and was very helpful.
